Next Generation Synthetic Reality – Holograms from Everyday Imaging Tools

We continue to live in a 3D world represented visually by 2D media. Some of the barriers to creating and displaying 3D content are going away. At OCAD’s PHASE Lab (Prototype Holographics for Art and Science Exploration), workers have embarked on a research project that will create a series of pipelines that will port 3D data directly to the world’s most advanced holographic printer.
