Kai is an entrepreneurial storyteller using innovative and immersive media to tell stories for kids. Kai is a CFC’s Producers’ Lab, Centennial’s Children’s Media program graduate, and keeps an M.A. in Child Development and Education from OISE/UofT in her back pocket. Kai’s work spans production at CBC Kids; research and outreach with the Black Screen Office and Shaw Rocket Fund; to mentorship with WIFT-Toronto and Oya-CFC Media Lab. Since 2022, Kai won YMA-TAAFI’s John Rooney Creator Fund, multiple awards for “Best Digital Series” for Kai’s “CCF’s Solstice Stories” and funding to adapt “Solstice Stories” into an AR narrative game in partnership with S.I.R.T. at Sheridan College.
