In this talk meant to provoke discussion, we’ll review some history, and place it in the context of key converging trends and tailwinds that are now setting up a perfect storm for XR to become the next evolution for digital engagement. We’ll discuss the natural process of technological failures and emergent successes, but will focus more on the social context and conditions that determined those outcomes. What lessons can we learn from this? How does this all come together now to become a new paradigm for builders? How do we design something that people will actually use? Stay tuned.
