How marker-based AR empowers young people to explore digital literacy outside of the metaverse.
At LitKit, we’ve embrace the analog: our maker-kits are built on the belief that augmented reality should amplify real experiences—not replace them. Learn how we use marker-based AR to turn paper activities into interactive learning portals, and why we deliberately reject headset-heavy, code-first, and 3D-focused approaches. This session explores how designing for touch, context, and storytelling gives young people a more grounded and meaningful introduction to the media technologies shaping their futures. Why? Because young people need to understand technology by interacting with the real world, not disappearing from it.
