Extended Reality is reshaping and elevating the way we create, share, and experience stories. This presentation will highlight several new projects I’ve been working on, including an artist-led initiative that uses XR to connect users deeply with narratives that are often overlooked or forgotten. Through the use of volumetric capture, environment overlays, and other cutting-edge technologies, we’ll see how XR can evoke a profound sense of awe and wonder, enhancing our capacity for empathy, embodiment, and creative expression. We will explore the broader implications of these technologies for wellbeing and societal engagement, discussing both their transformative potential and ethical considerations. By transcending traditional storytelling mediums, XR allows us to craft immersive and interactive experiences that draw audiences into the heart of narratives, deepening understanding and connection.
