Keram Malicki-Sanchez (Executive Director)
Keram founded both VRTO & FIVARS in 2015. A graduate of UCLA’s certification programs in Cinematography, Producing and Digital Media, he is also an alumnus of Werner Herzog’s Rogue Film School, was a student in Ryerson University’s inaugural New Media Studies program, business and creative consultant to a wide variety of tech companies, and has 30 years of experience as an actor in Hollywood. Keram has spoken about the intersection of technology and the arts, highlights include: NXNE, Cinegear Expo, the Toronto Star, Toronto Tech Week, CNE Innovation Garage, Digital Hollywood, Discovery Channel, Business News Network, CBC Morning, SiriusXM, Zoomer TV, ideacity, The Real Virtual Show, and NAB, among others. He is also the editor in-chief of IndieGameReviewer.com, and founder of VR production company Transportive.Technology and Constant Change Media Group, a 360 media company and consultation firm with strong ties to both the Toronto & Los Angeles markets. Over 10 years experience planning and executing marketing & sales plans for Canada Logistics Conference—a national professional development & networking conference. She has been involved in event production with Constant Change Media Group for the past 17 years.
Stephanie Greenall (Director of Communications, Producer)
Stephanie has over a decade of experience in event management, from intimate workshops to large scale conferences—including the Leading Healthcare Quality Summit & Innovations Expo. She has worked on contracts for such clients as Dyson, Pfizer, and Reader’s Digest. In addition to events, she has consulted on product viability of wearable technologies from China and Canada, is a regular contributor to NOVO magazine and IndieGameReviewer.com. She is frequently invited to participate on panels regarding technology and startup culture.
Josh Miles Joudrie (Senior Event Production Advisor)
Entertainment industry veteran, audio engineer, and tour manager with over two and half decades experience in live concerts, film, and festival production. Extensive A/V coordination/execution for major festivals worldwide.
Michael Hoang (Business Development)
With 5 years of banking experience in wealth management, residential/commercial mortgage and capital markets, and 2 years of entrepreneurial business development servicing hundreds of startups and hosting events year-round, Michael’s key interests center around (AR/VR, AI, machine learning, blockchain, and analytics, and being a leader in building Toronto’s Vietnamese communities.
Melanie Smith (VIP Coordinator)
Over ten years experience in corporate environments, managing schedules and logistics for VIP executives. Extensive involvement in event coordination and execution including book launches, media relations, and business development initiatives.
Rachel Mackenzie ( Production/Volunteer Coordinator )
Rachel brings over ten years experience in administration and event coordination spanning the not-for-profit, academic and entertainment sectors. With a focus on process consistency and optimization, she creates order from chaos, providing seamless client-centered experiences.

Dr. Maria Karam
Dr Maria Karam is a computer scientist, and an inventor turned entrepreneur. Her research focuses on sensory computing for humans, for virtual and natural interactions. Maria is a co-inventor of the Emoti-Chair, and Founder of TADs inc. She is also co-founder of eye-live media, the Coffee Lab, Vibrafusion Lab, and Silicon Drinkabout Toronto. Karam is also a visiting senior scholar at Kings College London and director of research for the Vibrafusion Lab.
Elvira Sanchez de Malicki
Elvira graduated with an Executive MBA from Queens University. Telefilm Canada is one of the numerous Boards and Councils at the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels she has served on. Her volunteer and community work also includes being the Founding President of the Canadian Hispanic Congress and Chair of the Task Force for the Accreditation of Professional and Technical Degrees of the Canadian Ethnocultural Council. She has also worked in theatre and television as host, news anchor, director and independent producer and, having traveled to more than 100 countries, she has over 4 decades of experience as a media trailblazer who has campaigned to bring cultural and visible diversity to mainstream media.
Ana Serrano is the Chief Digital Officer of the Canadian Film Centre and Founder of the CFC Media Lab the world-renowned institute for interactive storytelling created in 1997. Most recently, she launched Canada’s first digital entertainment accelerator IDEABOOST and serves as its Managing Director. To date, Serrano has directed the development of over 130 digital media projects, mentored over 50 start-ups, and has received numerous awards from the digital media, film, and theatre industries in both Canada and the U.S., including a Digital Media Trailblazing Award in 2015 from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. In 2018, Serrano received the insignia of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts and Letters) from the French government. Alongside this deep experience in digital media and entertainment, Serrano has been an active volunteer for numerous organizations and currently sits as Co-Chair of the Open Democracy Project and as a board member of The Centre for Mindfulness Studies and the Canadian Museum of Human Rights.
