Keram Malicki-Sanchez (Executive Director)
Keram founded both VRTO & FIVARS in 2015. A graduate of UCLA’s certification programs in Cinematography, Producing and Digital Media, he is also an alumnus of Werner Herzog’s Rogue Film School, was a student in Ryerson University’s inaugural New Media Studies program, business and creative consultant to a wide variety of tech companies, and has 30 years of experience as an actor in Hollywood. Keram has spoken about the intersection of technology and the arts, highlights include: NXNE, Cinegear Expo, the Toronto Star, Toronto Tech Week, CNE Innovation Garage, Digital Hollywood, Discovery Channel, Business News Network, CBC Morning, SiriusXM, Zoomer TV, ideacity, The Real Virtual Show, and NAB, among others. He is also the editor in-chief of IndieGameReviewer.com, and founder of VR production company Transportive.Technology and Constant Change Media Group, a 360 media company and consultation firm with strong ties to both the Toronto & Los Angeles markets. He is also on Digital Hollywood’s Immersive Entertainment – Influencer Board of Advisors.
He most recently contributed essays to two books published in 2020: Dyscorpia: Future Intersections of the Body and Technology, Edited by Marilene Oliver and Daniel Laforest, Published by Dept of Art and Design, University of Alberta and Handbook of Research on the Global Impacts and Roles of Immersive Media (editors: Jacquelyn Ford Morie (All These Worlds, LLC, USA) and Kate McCallum (Bridge Arts Media, USA and Vortex Immersion Media, USA).
Chrissy Aitchison (Senior Executive Administrator / Graphic Design)
Over 10 years experience planning and executing marketing & sales plans for Canada Logistics Conference—a national professional development & networking conference. She has been involved in event production with Constant Change Media Group for the past 17 years.
Stephanie Greenall (Director of Communications, Producer)
Stephanie has over a decade of experience in event management, from intimate workshops to large scale conferences—including the Leading Healthcare Quality Summit & Innovations Expo. She has worked on contracts for such clients as Dyson, Pfizer, and Reader’s Digest. In addition to events, she has consulted on product viability of wearable technologies from China and Canada, is a regular contributor to NOVO magazine and IndieGameReviewer.com. She is frequently invited to participate on panels regarding technology and startup culture.
Josh Miles Joudrie (Senior Event Production Advisor)
Entertainment industry veteran, audio engineer, and tour manager with over two and half decades experience in live concerts, film, and festival production. Extensive A/V coordination/execution for major festivals worldwide.
Melanie Smith (VIP Coordinator)
Over ten years of experience in corporate environments, managing schedules and logistics for VIP executives. Extensive involvement in event coordination and execution including book launches, media relations, and business development initiatives.
Jennifer Chadwick, CPACC – Accessibility Officer
Jenn has been a digital accessibility strategist, senior inclusive design consultant, advocate and speaker on web and mobile accessibility for over 14 years. She provides training to content authors, designers, developers and management in private and public sector organizations, delivering a corporate strategy and culture of inclusion through to education, training, governance and policy. She guides teams to think, design and innovate inclusively every day, with the impact to real people in mind, beyond compliance with standards Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and international laws.
Michelle Knight – Marketing Advisor
Michelle Knight has been a storyteller her entire life. As a senior creative, she has created XR projects showcased at SXSW and created TV commercials and content for digital platforms for almost a decade. She curated and built the storytelling arm of the VR course at RED Academy; teaching students how to ideate and write for XR platforms. Michelle’s mission is to ‘challenge perspectives and beliefs through immersive storytelling, using the power of XR to access compassion and self-exploration.’
S – Business Development
S is the co-founder and chief strategy officer of EXAR studios. S is an electrical engineer, artist, and business strategist. E-commerce, drop-shipping, professional speaking, podcasting, blogging, and running a VRcade are among the many ventures S has engaged in prior to joining the team at VRTO.

Dr. Maria Karam
Dr Maria Karam is a computer scientist, and an inventor turned entrepreneur. Her research focuses on sensory computing for humans, for virtual and natural interactions. Maria is a co-inventor of the Emoti-Chair, and Founder of TADs inc. She is also co-founder of eye-live media, the Coffee Lab, Vibrafusion Lab, and Silicon Drinkabout Toronto. Karam is also a visiting senior scholar at Kings College London and director of research for the Vibrafusion Lab.
Elvira Sanchez de Malicki
Elvira graduated with an Executive MBA from Queens University. Telefilm Canada is one of the numerous Boards and Councils at the Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels she has served on. Her volunteer and community work also includes being the Founding President of the Canadian Hispanic Congress and Chair of the Task Force for the Accreditation of Professional and Technical Degrees of the Canadian Ethnocultural Council. She has also worked in theatre and television as host, news anchor, director and independent producer and, having travelled to more than 100 countries, she has over 4 decades of experience as a media trailblazer who has campaigned to bring cultural and visible diversity to mainstream media.
